“And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation”.
The antidote to entering into temptation is to pray. When a man prays he is spiritually awake and physically alert. A man who is awake and alert cannot be taken unawares. However, when a man slumbers, he falls easy to prey to the devourer who sneaks in secretly to take him and destroy him. Daddy knows about the strategy of the devil. So, he warned his disciples “rise and pray lest ye enter into temptation”. His spiritual alertness makes it possible for him to be able to identify the gimmicks of one devil and so to resist him. When he ceases to pray his spiritual antenna would be down so he would not be able to receive any spiritual signal and so would be easily overtaken unawares. Therefore, brethren if we don’t want to become spiritual causalities, then it is time we wake up from our slumbers and begin to pray. As we pray, we move the hand of God to fight on our behalf.
In our generation, several Christians have become vegetables for the devil to harvest at will. This is because prayerlessness has weakened us, so much that we are unable to resist the weakest on slaught of the devil.
Arise now, therefore, beloveth and face the kingdom challenges by being part of the last day army of the Lord that shall take the land. The men and women that’s hall breakthrough the devil’s siege and take the land for the Lord. Men and women that shall thrust upon the Master’s fortress and move into the everlasting harvest.
